Cinquanta Urlanti, Quaranta Ruggenti, Sessanta Stridenti

Next Wave Festival 2012 Documentation

Italian company Dewey Dell takes inspiration from the seafaring universe in this precisely and sensually choreographed work, named after the howling winds of the lower southern hemisphere – the most dangerous waters in the world. Reflecting on the union of sailors and their vessels at sea, the company creates a new protagonist – a single organism of world, mariner, wind, ship and ocean, inextricably combined. An offshoot
of the ground-breaking Societàs Raffaello Sanzio, Dewey Dell describes a dreamlike journey though an undefined, bleak world.
